Alliance Productions turns 50

Alliance Productions has reached a milestone in 2006 by adding 4 new members, which brings the total number of trucks in Alliance to 50! Alliance Productions is a member- owned cooperative in the mobile television business that has exceeded all expectations for both financial success and multiple business partnerships. Started in 1998, Alliance has grown to now include 15 member companies with 50 mobile units creating live remote productions for all levels of the broadcast, cable, and the corporate universe.

The newly added companies include CSP Mobile based in Maine, RBI Incorporated based in Colorado, Token Creek based in Wisconsin, and US Mobile headquartered in Florida. This gives Alliance a solid base of standard definition mobile units, both straight and expandable, to replace our core SD units that have migrated into the world of High Definition. Steve Thomas, President of RBI said this upon joining the organization, “We appreciate the opportunity to partner with a quality company like “The Alliance” and it’s members. We feel that this association will expand new markets for our business, and enable The Alliance to service a new area for their clients.” Alliance has a detailed and selective process that only allows members to join that bring the best possible additions into the fold to offer to their diverse client base. Alliance has found a way to offer their clients one of the largest and broadest selections of mobile units available in the industry without sacrificing quality and aggressive pricing.

The Alliance main office has continued to fine-tune their services and management of this large cross section of remote facilities that allows a client the ability to have the best of all worlds. “We are in an exciting and growing business which is part of the digital revolution,” said Nat Thompson, President of CSP Mobile; “being invited to join the Alliance represents an opportunity to serve an ever wider circle of quality clients.” Equally important, the existing member companies have never been more pleased with the growth they are seeing within the Organization. Craig Farrell, General Manager of Alliance Productions, said “the changes taking place in the mobile television industry through consolidation and technological advances makes a nice niche for Alliance as a group to meet the needs of so many entities on all sides of the equation; it’s really a win-win for everyone who is involved”. The feedback from the membership creates an open dialogue that benefits everyone in the group from the CFO’s to the Mobile Unit engineers. Newly added member John Salzwedel, owner of Token Creek Mobile Television, summed it best. “People think we are in the TV business, but I believe we are really in the service business…I am excited about becoming an active member in the Alliance family and look forward to working together for all of us to advance our trade.”
