PORTLAND, OR – West coast based, MIRA Mobile Television, home to the largest mobile production truck fleet in the Western United States, launches M12HD, the latest addition to a growing fleet of mobile production units.

The 53’ HD Expando represents the next generation of technologies MIRA will deploy in its mobile units. Much of the focus in M12HD’s design is on audio.  The mobile unit features a Calrec Artemis Beam with Bluefin2 and Hydra2.  Extensive audio embedding/de-embedding is incorporated supporting 48 video sources.  In addition, there is a 256 X 256 MADI interface to the massive Evertz HD router.

The video side of M12HD is equally impressive.  The truck features 12 Grass Valley LDK 8000 Elite cameras with a host of Fujinon lenses including two 101x’s.  The LDK 8000 has tremendous production flexibility in that it can easily meet client needs on either fiber of triax.  A Grass Valley Kayenne HD production switcher is also on-board.  There are five EVS servers providing 24 channels of production support.

The trailer is a 53’ Gerling Expando with a 51’ x 60” expandable section.  The trailer is 57’ in overall length. 

M12HD is already contracted to service Pac-12 Networks premier college football and basketball games. The mobile unit goes on the road in June and will begin its work for the Pac-12 Networks in August.
