At the conclusion of the 2012 Alliance Productions annual NAB Stockholders meeting, the company announced plans to donate $100,000. to the Sports Video Group Broadcasting Fund. This fund, created in 2011, serves as a means to assist members of the sports production community who find themselves in extreme need due to personal crisis.
“Everyone here at Alliance Productions greatly values and respects the contributions of the freelancers and technicians who work with us on many shows and events,” says Craig Farrell, Alliance Productions, president. “With those people in mind, we recognize the need to support those who find themselves in dire straits and hope our contribution will encourage our industry colleagues
to make their own donations to this worthy fund.”
“On behalf of the SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund and those it serves I just want to say thank you to Alliance Productions and their member companies for this generous donation,” says Ken Aagaard, SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund Advisory Board chairman. “We expect their donation to be just the first of many from vendors and manufacturers who have a similar desire to give back to a sports production community that week after week drives the core of their business.”
The partners of Alliance Productions, which include Corplex, Crosscreek, CSP, IMS Productions, Jones Mobile TV, Mansion Mobile, Mira Mobile, MPS, NCP, SDTV, Token Creek, and YES Productions, voted unanimously to fund the donation immediately.
“I’m very proud of our group and their willingness to step up and support such a worthy cause,” said Craig Farrell. “We work closely with freelancers on a regular basis and they’re an integral part of our commitment to deliver the best possible product to all our clients.”
